In this festival, traditionally, young girls wear local costumes called Habesha Kemis, hold green leaves on their backs, sing songs in groups with the help of traditional musical instrument called kebero and go to door-to-door to receive elderly blessings.

Holding a little Variant of names, (Ashenda-in Tigray), (Ashendeye-in Lasta), (Shadey- in Agew Humra) or (Solel- in Raya) and with a Religious and Cultural connotation, this winter festival used to be the girls shining moment probably next to Timket (Epiphany).
