Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister, has landed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for an official state visit. He is welcomed by Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of Ethiopia, as he arrived at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa.
He too has a plan to meet with a number of African leaders on the margins of the annual African Union Summit which will be held from 9-10 Feb 2020 with a theme of Silencing the Guns making him the first Canadian prime minister to take part at such session.
He will try to get support from African nations as Canada tries to secure a seat on the United Nations Security Council in June 2020 and quoted to discuss on gender equality and the environment issues and strengthen Canada’s relationship with the continent, which is home to more than one billion people and countries with some of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
In similar news Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian President, accompanied by a delegation consisting of 9 officials will go on to an official state visit in Ethiopia after the conclusion of the AU summit invited by Ethiopian prime minister.
